About this Blog

It can't be that time of year again. GROAN!!! You can feel the tightness in your chest and a sick feeling emerges in the pit of your stomach. It is time to help your child prepare for delivery of a speech at school. This blog is HERE TO HELP. You will be able to pick up some tips and have a look at some of the speeches we have prepared.

Who are we? My name is Chris and I am the mother of 1 primary and 1 high school aged child. Let me put it out there, I am a shy introvert and public speaking remains my worst nightmare. I desperately hoped that my children would not share this debilitating fear and always encouraged them and helped them with their preparation for school speeches. And yes readers this has paid off. My children have won a number of awards for their speeches and become confident in their abilities. At times they may still become nervous depending on the occasion however they have learnt to coexist with any feelings of nervousness and are still able to deliver a polished performance.

I need to acknowledge the input of my children in this blog. With the support they have had over the years they have developed their own sense of fun and speech writing genius.

We hope to help your children in the development of this valuable skill.
